Dog Daycare Near Lakewood, Seven Blocks Past the Border
Beegan K9 is at 2080 W 110th St in Cleveland's Cudell neighborhood, just east of the Lakewood line at W 117th St. Playgroups of 2-3 dogs, a hard cap of 12 dogs a day, and a 6:30am open that fits a Lakewood commute.
How Close Is Beegan K9 to Lakewood?
Lakewood ends at W 117th St. We are seven blocks past it. If you live along Madison Ave, the route is one street: Madison runs straight out of Lakewood into Cleveland and W 110th is the turn. From northern Lakewood, the Detroit Ave corridor does the same job: follow Detroit east past W 117th and turn south on W 110th.
Most of Lakewood reaches us in 5 to 12 minutes. The east end near W 117th is closer to 3. From the west end by the Rocky River bridge, plan on 10 to 15. If you commute downtown on I-90, we are less than 3 minutes off the W 117th exit, and drop-off starts at 6:30am.
From Madison Ave About 5 minutes
One straight shot east. No highway, no detour. Madison crosses the border at W 117th and our street is seven blocks later. This is the route most of our Lakewood regulars drive.
From Detroit Ave and Lakewood Park 5 to 10 minutes
From the lakefront side of Lakewood, Detroit Ave carries you east past W 117th. If your dog's usual outing is the Lakewood Park loop, we are one neighborhood over.
From I-90 3 minutes off the exit
Take the W 117th exit and you are less than 3 minutes from our door. Drop the dog, get back on, and you have lost almost nothing on the morning commute.
Why Lakewood Dogs Do Well in Small Groups
Lakewood is one of the most densely populated cities in Ohio: apartments, doubles, and small yards. Lakewood dogs get plenty of leash time on Madison and Detroit, and weekend loops at Lakewood Park or Madison Park. What most of them do not get is calm, off-leash play with a well-matched dog. That is the gap a daycare day here fills.
Playgroups at Beegan K9 are 2-3 dogs, matched by temperament, energy, and play style, and the 2-3 dogs out at once share the full 4,000 sq ft. We never take more than 12 dogs in a day, rest is built between every play session, and the whole day was designed by Caden, a certified professional trainer. Dogs go home settled, not wired.
If your dog came home from a big open-room daycare overstimulated, or gets overwhelmed by the crowd at the dog park, a group of 2-3 is the opposite experience. See the full daily routine and pricing on the daycare page, or read what Cleveland and Lakewood owners say on our reviews page. A single day is $60, a 3-pack is $55 per day, a 5-pack is $50 per day, and the evaluation day is free.
