Meet the Team Behind Cleveland's Small-Group, Trainer-Run Dog Daycare

Beegan K9 is a trainer-run dog daycare. That means your dog will be cared for by the same small, trusted team, every single day. Each handler is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Here is who we are, and why we built daycare this way:

The people who built it

Caden Beegan

Owner & Certified Professional Trainer

Caden is a Certified Professional Trainer and a graduate of Paradigm K9 in Columbus, Ohio. He built a behavior-first understanding of dogs into how every playgroup at Beegan K9 is formed and run.

A Cleveland native and a graduate of Saint Ignatius High School and Ohio University, Caden volunteered in daycares and animal shelters, fostered dogs, and shadowed professional trainers before Beegan K9. He built it because he saw what volume daycare does to dogs and knew there was a better way.

Caden designed how every Beegan K9 day runs, from forming playgroups to reading stress signals, and trains the Expert Handlers who run it so every dog leaves better than they arrived.

Zach Saxton

Co-Owner & Expert Handler

Zach is an Expert Handler and runs the business side of Beegan K9: operations, growth, and the systems that keep a 12-dog day running smoothly. He is a Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT).

Raised in the Cleveland area, Zach graduated from Orange High School and Miami University. He builds the systems that keep a small operation consistent, so nothing about your dog's care gets lost in handoffs. That is the point of a two-owner operation.

The why

Why Does Beegan K9 Cap the Day at 12 Dogs?

The standard daycare model packs 15 to 25 dogs into a single open room with under-qualified staff. Dogs come home wired, sick, or with habits they did not arrive with.

Beegan K9 was built as the deliberate opposite: small, structured, and run by Expert Handlers. Quality over quantity. We could take more dogs, but we don't.

Operating principles

What We Believe

Structure Over Stimulation

A calm, predictable day beats hours of chaos. The day starts with rest, not play.

Relationships Over Volume

We cap the day at 12 so dogs are known, not processed. Every dog gets individual attention, every single day.

Calm Over Chaos

Real rest is part of good care, not an afterthought. Dogs go home fulfilled, not exhausted.
