Hey guys, this is Caden, Owner and Head Trainer here at Beegan K9.
Dog training is hard work, but what I love most about it is that it allows you to do more with your dog than you ever thought possible. It also takes away a lot of the conflict and stress that goes into owning a dog. Dog training is not all about us, though. At its core, good dog training is about improving your dog’s quality of life and strengthening the relationship you have with them. It’s really a beautiful thing.
I encourage you to watch the videos at the bottom of this page to get an idea of the quality of dog training that we produce here at Beegan K9. Those are really going to give you a better picture of what we can do than any words I could ever type. The first video below titled “What You Get” actually takes you through your dog’s entire training journey; from a run-down of our training process to how we go about creating each client a custom send-home plan. If videos aren’t your thing, check out our FAQ Page or give us a call at 216-310-9629 during our designated call hours from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we’ll be happy to tell you all about our training programs. Leave a voicemail if necessary and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
At Beegan K9 Solutions, we are committed to preparing you and your dog for the REAL WORLD.
Our Standard Residency Program option follows a tried-and-true program developed by some of the best trainers throughout the country and backed by the field of animal behavior science. The Program combines aspects of traditional obedience training with practical in-home management skills and a special emphasis on owner education. We prepare your dog for the real world and then equip you with the tools you need to lead them in it.
We want to meet you and your dog where you are at; each dog gets a custom designed training plan based on their individual needs and client concerns. Despite the custom nature of our training programs, each dog is held up to certain standards that must be met. They will all achieve working levels of off-leash competency in the following behaviors:
- Recall, sit-stay, down-stay, place, heel, road boundaries
You’ve probably heard the saying, “fine wine takes time,” and that’s the approach we take to dog training. And that’s actually exactly why we set up our Residency Program to be six weeks instead of two or four like many other trainers. This is because during those last two weeks, we’re really just taking your dog to different places all around Cleveland to use their training and make sure it holds up in as many scenarios as possible.
In addition to training your dog, we will also train YOU. By the end of the training process not only will your dog be a rockstar, but you will feel more than capable of applying their training on your own. That is why we offer up to six complimentary follow-up sessions to any of our previous residency program clients. The first three are mandatory and will be scheduled when you pick up your dog from our facility at the end of Week Six. We are one of the only training companies around to not just offer but REQUIRE multiple follow-ups to our residency programs. That is because we truly care about making the most out of your investment in us, and we believe the best way to do that is through proper owner education so that your dog’s training holds up for years to come. In the near future, we also plan to offer weekly focused skills classes to previous clients who want to take their dog’s training to the next level.
Interested in our Standard Residency Program? Give us a call at 216-310-9629 during our designated call hours from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From there, we can provide you with more information and schedule you a free tour of our facility to help you make a final decision. If your dog is dealing with more intense behavioral issues, read about our Behavioral Rehab Residency Program below.
When choosing a trainer for your dog, it is important to know what you are paying for. Ultimately the question is, what will your dog be like at the end of the training program? What do the results look like? To see what our dogs look like, just watch the videos at the bottom of this page!
*DISCLAIMER: I train all my dogs to be reliable both on-leash and off-leash not so they can be off-leash all of the time, but so that they are prepared and SAFE in any situation. My job as a professional trainer is to train both YOU and your dog. If you put the work in, I promise you and your dog as a team will build up the confidence to take on more and more difficult scenarios with ease. And I will be right there by your side to guide you. However, it is ultimately your decision how you make use of the training. Remember; an untrained or trained dog off-leash with an untrained owner is a recipe for disaster. Trust the training but also use your better judgement and be aware of local laws before considering taking your dog anywhere off-leash. If you are not yet comfortable enough with the training to have your dog off-leash, that’s okay. Get back to practicing, ask questions, and put in the work to get there!
